He recommended buying a new one. Instead, I bought a used one and hired someone to install it. The new technician simply reprogrammed the existing opener, making the purchase unnecessary. In the end, I wasted money on a garage door I didn’t need and paid for two service visits due to the first technician’s incompetence.
