Garage Door Construction & insulation

From non-insulated to R-16. Garaga quality comes standard.

The right insulation makes all the difference

You don’t need the same level of insulation for every garage. But when your garage is attached or used year-round, better insulation makes a real difference in comfort and energy savings.

3-Layer Polyurethane: R‐12 or R‐16

Our best choice for Canadian comfort

Ideal for attached garages, heated or not, and detached garages used year-round.

Polyurethane delivers our highest insulation levels, sound reduction and structural strength, and reduces heat loss through your home’s largest openings.

Construction: 2 steel skins + high-pressure injected polyurethane foam

Best for: Attached / conditioned spaces

2-Layer Polystyrene: R‐7.2

Practical comfort at a lower price

A smart choice for milder climates or detached garages where some temperature control is useful, but maximum insulation isn’t needed.

Polystyrene adds comfort without paying for performance your garage may not need.

Construction: 1 steel skin + polystyrene insulation + protective backing

Best for: Basic insulation

1-Layer Non-‐Insulated

A smart fit when insulation isn’t needed

Ideal for sheds and unheated detached garages where you won’t be storing items sensitive to heat, cold or humidity.

You still get a quality Garaga steel door, without paying for insulation you don’t need.

Construction: 1 steel skin, non-insulated

Best for: 1 steel skin, non-insulated
